Spring in the north
Spring in the Yukon can look pretty much the same as winter. In Whitehorse, Yukon the last average spring frost date is June 11 and the first fall average frost is August 25. So if you're a flowering plant up there you have to be ready to grow fast :-). It helps that they have almost 24 hours of daylight in the summer! This is a photo of Kuane National Park on a cloudy day with the grasses that feed the ungulates in the winter sticking up through the snow.
