Bobcats are around double the size of domestic cats.

I was surprised to see how cat-like bobcats (Lynx rufus) are.  They are about twice the size of a house cat, have a whiskered face, black-tufted ears, and stubby tails,  (the tail can seen in one of the other shots accessed from the link below)<br />
<br />
In answer to Dycasstudios questions, this was shot at a wildlife preserve that has a number of species indigenous to the northern Great Lakes forest.  Because the cat was overhead (and felt safe) it was possible to get fairly close.  The low light in the forest and the rain meant I had to hike the ISO to 1600 in order to get a bit of DOF and speed. <br />
