Leaping gnu
There was a deeper hole in the overflow stream from Lake Ndutu during the rainy season, with deeper water (you can see the depth from the position of the rear wildebeest). One wildebeest (Westen white-bearded gnu, Connochaetes taurinus albojubatus) exploded out of the hole towards the shallow water above during their migration north.
