There is a real sense of the rawness of the weather, and the utter loneliness of the place, apart from the occasional tourist visitors.
Wouldn't want to be sailing close to those rocks if they were a lee shore. I think this is the first time I've seen anchored, growing bull kelp. Mostly I've just seen bits and pieces that have been ripped off by the surf and deposited on one beach or another.
