Eilean Donan castle
Somber Eilean Donan castle at low tide, on a rainy day, Loch Duich, Scotland. The current castle, which sits on a low tidal island, is an early 20th century reconstruction of a castle whose original fortifications date back to the 13th C. It was destroyed in 1719 in response to the MacKenzie owners involvement in the Jacobite rebellion.

on December 30, 2022Excellent mono shot of this castle which has featured in several movies, ironically it features in "Highlander" as the family home of the McLeod's which were the clan who the real owners had a blood feud with.
