Cloud formation
Mountains make their own weather and in this image a stream flowing from a small spring leads the eye past the fall vegetation and Lago Amarga saline lake to the clouds building over Cerro Almirante Nieto and the Torres del Paine granite spires. The tops of the spires are disappearing into the cloud as the day warms up and evaporating water starts the formation of clouds. Torres del Paine, Patagonia

on April 29, 2019Superb composition. The view is funneled not just back, but ultimately upward to the peaks and the clouds, and each stage of the journey is a different color and texture.

on April 29, 2019Your clouds have been wonderful on this trip. In this one, it looks as if the clouds coming from different directions are of different types. Really lovely shot.
