  • Close-up-of-the-birds pulling the Royal Barge, Kandawgyi Park, Yangon, Burma<br /> <br /> I couldn't figure out why 'ducks' were pulling the barge, so I looked it up, The birds are called Hamsh, traditionally geese or swans. They are a symbol of "purity, detachment, divine knowledge, cosmic breath (prana) and highest spiritual accomplishment". A high level of symbolism is attached to water birds as they can walk on the earth, fly in the sky, and swim in the water.
