Flying over

It was great to see a black and white flock of 4 adult and 2 juvenile (brown heads) red crown cranes fly over me against a brilliant blue sky. To see this many individuals in the air is all the more remarkable consider the species was near extinction by the mid 20th century. By panning with a 400 mm lens I was able to get a pretty clear shot. (best larger)

Awesome. I guess crane species world wide have been under extreme pressure, I assume from habitat loss.
