The wonderful light and shadows in this room in Qavan House (Narenjestan e Ghavam, built 1879-1896, a traditional, historic old house in Shiraz, Iran) caught my eye and I asked a companion to pose before the window in silhouette.
I agree with Elizabeth about the tilt. I tried several ways of working with the image to see what would work. In the previous version, I had the dominant line in the corner vertical, but now I have replaced the image with yet another version in which all the major vertical lines and the central horizontal line is/are straightened.
This enthusiastic trio dressed up for the occasion asked me to take their photo, so I posed them against on of the hedges in the garden of a historic Persian house.
Originally the private house, the Zinat ol Molouk (Zinat al Mulk) is a beautiful example of a traditionally styled house with a central court yard in the middle and the richly deocrated rooms around the court yard with wall and ceiling paintings and mirrored tiles.
