  • Photographing in high winds at Diamond Beach off Jökulsárlón lagoon resulted in this dramatic scene with the large rolling waves and spin drift and the floating bits of blue ice. Many seabirds were screeching over the waves and ice including Icelandic gulls (Larus glaucoides), and a Lesser black-backed gull (Larus fuscus, centre of image).
