Stormy seas at sunrise

The black sand Diamond Beach (Ice Beach) at the Jokusarlon lagoon was being hit by a major storm with strong winds and huge rolling waves when I went there to photograph the sunrise. I timed my shot to catch the rays of the sun framed by the foam of the breaking waves on the horizon using a large piece of crystal ice reflecting the sunrise as the foreground. The challenge of these conditions is to get close enough to the foreground without being caught by the incoming water and the moving ice.
