Blooming foxglove
A stand of foxglove (Digitalis purpurea) blooms in a marshy meadow with thick mosses and timbers from the long defunct mining operations at Ikeda Cove, Moresby Island, Haida Gwaii, BC. The foxglove plant is toxic to the invasive Sitka deer and survives their voracious browsing of the other plants that would normally be present here.
