The lower platforms are for the young, inexperienced divers (naghol is also a way for young men to step into manhood), and the highest platforms are for the very best divers who gain huge prestige from this activity.

Don't know where the camera info went, but as the divers went higher and higher, I kept increasing the speed.  At this point I was up around 1/2000 sec to 1/2500 sec to freeze the action, which meant also that with each higher diver I also increased the ISO.  Of course you get only one try at the diving sequence - no second chances, so you'd have to get the focus etc. right the first time.  I was doing a fast pan to follow the diver down. Lucky for me I got some clear sequences (other shots, info and sequences will follow on other days)<br />
