A Maasai woman in her colourful red blanket carries a large bundle of firewood on her back and a large knife (called a panga) for cutting it. A trio of zebras graze in the background on the fresh green grasses during the rainy season. Interesting how the distinct black and white stripes of zebras fade to grey in the distance. The Maasai tribe occupy the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Tanzania, in their traditional bomas, herding cows and goats on the outer slopes of the crater. This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
