There's an old weather-beaten wooden hut in the small bay of Hekla Havn on Denmark Island, Scoresby Sund, East Greenland. The hut was built in 1967 as a base for a mining expedition and has since served as a shelter for hunters and fishers passing through this remote area. The windows are boarded up but light passes through the gaps between the boards and this is the source of the side light that I used for this still life photo of a small corner of the hut that served as a 'kitchen' area, which contained an eclectic collection of memorabilia. Taken from inside the hut.
