An unexpected find
Pacific tree frog (Hyla regilla) in a potted basil plant, Vancouver, BC. I was watering my basil plants in my greenhouse and picked up what I thought was a dead leaf off the soil under the basil leaves and to my surprise it was the most adorable tiny frog around 4 cm in length. I put it back on the soil and it seemed happy enough to hang around while I went into the house, got my camera and put on some extension rings and came back to photograph it. As I started to photograph it, it jumped up onto the side of the pot and posed for a short time before leaping over to the next pot. By the next morning it was gone, but may still be in the greenhouse hiding in another plant.
