A walk on the beach
A Magellenic penguin (Spheniscus magellanicus) takes a walk along the sea-weed littered rocky beach on Isla Magdalena, an uninhabited island in the Strait of Magellan in the far south of Chile. A breeding colony of over 50,000 these penguins exists on the island. Although still plentiful, this South American penguin species is classified as 'threatened' due to their vulnerability to oil spills.
