Castle Ewan

In the Fairy Glen, a picturesque small Quiraing-like landslip area on the Trotternish Peninsula, is a basaltic hilltop given the name Castle Ewan for its resemblance to a ruined castle. It is ringed by sheep trails and is reflected in a small pond. Balnacnoc, Isle of Skye, Scotland.

Beautiful composition...quite a dramatic composition! I love the way the slumped earth looks with the green grass growing on it!

Super composition of this landscape shot, I particularly like the textures and folds of the land. It looks like the area was probably used by the locals for peat cutting or possible crops planted in runrigs at somepoint. Or it could just be natural movement of the peat.

SO very beautifully composed Terry! I love this series on the Isle of Skye - I've never been there, but it was one of my father's favourite holiday places when he was a boy, so I am thoroughly enjoying your wonderful images.
