Hardy little bird
Taken from the top of the ancient cliffs at the Butt of Lewis with wind-blown waves and a lone sea bird (centre of frame), Isle of Lewis, Outer Hebrides, Scotland. Along the cliff tops it was challenging to stand up in the strong winds, but fortunately for my camera gear, there wan't any wind-blown rain at the moment.

4 weeks agoO wow, that must be a hardy little bird, I can imagine the flying in the wind and wave spray must have been a challenge. Great shot Terry!

4 weeks agoGreat eye to notice the bird out there in all the wind and water! Some birds really seem to love that environment...me, not so much! ;-)

4 weeks agoFrom the wing shape I would say that lone bird is a Northern Fulmar (Fulmarus glacialis) and that he is riding the breeze. Great shot and mono pp.
