Silver dun coo
A beautiful example of the silver dun coloration in a Highland cow standing in a green pasture near Luskentyre, Isle of Harris Scotland. No one seems to know how well they can see though the iconic fringe over their eyes, called a dossan, which helps protect their eyes from harsh weather and flies.

2 weeks agoI love these Highland cows! It makes me want to braid their "bangs" to help them see. However, since it protects their eyes, I guess it's not recommended! ;-)
