Beautiful couple
As I roamed the west coast of Scotland, I was always on the lookout for Highland coos, which have to be some of the most beautiful and photogenic of all cows. It proved to be an elusive target until I saw this handsome huge Highland bull and his nearby cow in a field near Carloway, Isle of Lewis, Outer Hebrides. Scotland. Surely the red-headed 'Jamie Fraser' of bulls :-)

4 weeks agoI love his wavy bangs that cover his eyes...seems like vision would be problematic. Terrific tack sharp furry details, Terry...nice ring in the nose, too! They are really pretty cattle!

4 weeks agoI agree with you in that these are the most photographed and most loved of all the bovine breeds in the world - at least they are for me anyway. I love their shaggy faces. This is a fabulous shot of the big bull and his cow Terry!

When I opened your site I saw "O" is for Onion and thought I was missing out on an alphabet Challenge but then realised it was an old post. Those challenges were so much fun.
