Riding tack
In Patagonia horses are a part of everyday life, culture and tradition and, until the Carretera Austral was finished in 1988, the entire mid-section of Chile was still a roadless wilderness. Even today, horses are still the preferred mode of transport by the gauchos, and horses and riding tack can be seen in almost every rural property.

on March 29, 2021This is a wonderful shot of the tack. I loved (when we were in Argentina) seeing so many people on horseback. Some of the tack was simple, but then a few were very fancy. Excellent image.
