A dark-coloured young grizzly bear emerges from the woods onto the river bank by a large tree stump, Chilko River, British Columbia. His/her body language suggests a little surprise and uncertainty at seeing our boat.

on May 3, 2022He/she is much darker than most of them. I hope to go back to see the grizzly's again some day, they are fascinating to watch. I love how the wet and ruffled fur of this one almost reminds me of a male lion's mane. Awesome capture Terry!
