Distant grizzlies
As the sun started to burn off the early morning fog, I spotted a grizzly bear mother and her cub high on a mountain above Chilko Lake, British Columbia. They probably had a den somewhere on the mountain that they return to at night after feasting on salmon in the river. Note the red leaves on the bushes.

on April 21, 2022Correction: I agree with Judith that it is interesting to see where the bears live (and roam) aside from the lake!

on April 21, 2022Interesting to see where the bears may live away from the lake!
I know it was probably time to let the Rebel go--I had upgraded a few years ago, but didn't like the new camera as well as that one that had accompanied me on all kinds of adventures...this wouldn't be the way I'd want to let it go, on an important trip!
