Beached wreck

Trawler MV Dayspring (built 1975) was beached in 2011 after breaking loose from its mooring during a storm. The wreck lies below the high tide line on a shingle beach on Loch Eil where it joins with Loch Linnhe. Ben Nevis, with its peak obscured by clouds, lies in the background. Scottish Highlands.

Excellent capture ! Old textures but still great boat even if it won't never floating ...

Poor old boat--looks like it's been through a lot, both while in use, and since its wreck. Great shot of it, with perfect sky and lighting to show it off!

Great shot of the old MV Dayspring. The highest peak (Ben Nevis) in the UK looking very moody with that cloud cover.

This is a fabulous story-telling shot Terry. It's one image that should be in your top favorites of all times. It's a bit sad to see it beached like this, but it still shows us that the trawler served it's purpose very well and now enjoys it's well deserved rest.

What an incredible bucket list shot! I don't know if you have a bucket list of specific kinds of shots you would like to get someday, but taking a photo of a beached wreck like this is a photographer's dream. Gorgeous image!
