Huemul pair
As our helicopter touched down on the terminal moraine of Glacier Nef it was a thrill to see a pair of huemul (Hippocamelus bisulcus), a critically endangered species of south Andean deer, bounding across the glacier scree, Aysen, Patagonia, Chile.
The previous and upcoming aerial shots were taken from a helicopter with the doors off for better photography, making sure to keep the shutter speed high to compensate for the vibration of the helicopter.
