Spirit bear art
Gitga'at spirit bear guide and artist standing by the spirit bear mural in the beautiful new longhouse, Hartley Bay, British Columbia. It was such a wonderful thing to see how the white spirit bear depiction glowed in the dark interior of the longhouse, reminding me of how the white bears seem to glow with an inner light in the dark rainforest environment.

on January 26, 2019This is (to me) very reminiscent of the art we saw in Alaska. Indeed this does show how the white bears glow. Really wonderful shot!
