Ittoqqortoormiit houses
A closer look at the colourful houses of Ittoqqortoormiit village, which are built on solid rock. The white crosses of the cemetery can be seen on the hillside on the right. The graves had to be blasted out of the rock using plastic explosives. Scoresby Sund, Liverpool Land, East Greenland.

on August 23, 2020I never seen anything like this--save maybe a jigsaw puzzle. What an interesting find and just fantastic presentation! Bravo

on August 23, 2020I really like this closer view of the settlement, especially in larger sizes, so see the details. Very interesting. I see streetlights--do they generate their own electricity? I only saw one or two outhouses, so I assume they have their own plumbing system? So many practical questions come to mind. I love the look of the place, but can't imagine living there!

on August 23, 2020Lovely panoramic view of those colourful houses. I can't help thinking it looks like a model village or scenery on a model railway. I think it's just the vastness of scale of the surrounding landscape. Great shot!
