Ittoqqortoormiit street scene
A pair of young men walk along a Ittoqqortoormiit street with colourful houses and church steeple, Lincoln Land, Scoresby Sund, East Greenland. You can see lots of street lamps since it is dark 24 hours a day in from November to January.
Re questions: I suspect the houses are pre-fabricated in northern Europe with shapes that minimize surface area to conserve heat.

on August 28, 2020Wonderful candid street view. Love the colors and the repetitive shape of the houses. Is there some particular reason for that style do you know?

on August 28, 2020Terry, I love your composition and where you put the two men in the frame, excellent choice.

on August 28, 2020Nice to get yet a closer view of the town--it seems less storybook and more like a real town. I didn't realize it was dark 24 hours for that long! I remember living in Alaska and it getting light late and dark early, but never the 24 hours--of course they are way farther north, so it makes sense! Strange to live that way...
