Waiting for freeze-up
A polar bear mother with her pair of two- year-old cubs rests on the snow on the shores of Hudson Bay near Churchill, Manitoba. In late October the polar bears head to the shores of the bay to wait for freeze-up so they can go out on the ice floes to hunt for seals.
They are always keeping an eye out for what's going on around them. In this case I think it was a male bear in the area.

on November 3, 2020Interesting postures. They look keenly alert yet hunkered down with all eyes looking in the same direction. Well captured. to show this.
