Mud mask
A smiling couple at the Blue Lagoon with white silica mud masks, scooped up from the lagoon's bottom. The lagoon has 55% seawater and 35% fresh water and it’s very high in silica, which is what gives the water its milky blue colour. The water/mud is said to prevent premature skin aging, improves the skin barrier and have an anti-bacterial and anti-psoriasis effect.
Re people's cell phone remarks...I wasn't in the water and don't use my cell phone when I travel. With permission, I was on the perimeter walkway with my full frame camera.
