Hekla harbour
Our expedition ship, the 3 masted schooner Rembrandt van Rijn, anchored in Hekla Havn on Denmark Island. The island and harbour was first charted during the 1891-1892 expedition to East Greenland by Carl Ryder, who over-wintered there in the vessel Hekla. Scoresby Sund, East Greenland.

on January 29, 2020What an incredible photo! Another masterpiece in your gallery. This 3 masted schooner is marvelous. The Hekla Havn island is a paradise. How lucky you are to have been able to visit such place! I love the composition of this seascape with the ice that still occupies part of the mount. Thank you for this very informative and magnificent sharing.
