Trees and water
The glaciers and ample rainfall of the steep terrain of central Patagonia, accessed by the Carretera Austral, feed large numbers of waterfalls, most unnamed. Here is one, near Lago Bertrand, framed by lush vegetation.
I have some clear shots of the whole waterfall but preferred this one where the water is seen though the branch that follows the shape of the falls.

4 weeks agoI really like this framing too! Living in a state that is "over-developed" in many ways, it's amazing that a waterfall of this size may not even have a name. I love it!

4 weeks agoBeautiful framing; I love seeing the waterfall setting off these lovely delicate looking branches. From my limited experience, waterfalls like this one with huge volumes of water are so difficult to capture....all that white lit up by the sun...even when using a ND filter.
