The fishing stages, boat ramps, colourful fishing sheds, fishing boats and houses at the small fishing village of Trout River, Newfoundland. Many of thee outports are struggling to survive with the decline of the rich fisheries that had sustained them in the past, but the establishment of the nearby Gros Morne National Park as a UNESCO World Heritage Site has brought employment and additional sources of income to the area. The Tablelands in the park can be seen in the background. If you look closely you can see three cows standing patiently in a dory waiting for the man in the orange survival suit in the background to take them down the coast to a roadless outport village (best larger).
