Summer wildflowers
Summer wildflowers of the ocean marshland, Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary, Westham Island, British Columbia. The Pacific flyway is quiet this time of year, but the marshlands are full of wildflowers that will go to seed in time for the fall migration southward of the huge flocks of birds. This image features a patch of bullrushes and goldenrod. The smoke from the wildfires resulted in a diffused filtered light enabling me to shoot mid-day without a lot of blown highlights. Best larger.
