Masai giraffes
A pair of young Masai giraffes (Giraffa tippelskirchi) rub necks on the lower slopes of Mount Meru, Arusha National Park, Tanzania. This may be a prelude to the more aggressive neck fighting for dominance practiced by the fully grown adult males. Masai giraffes can be identified by their irregular, jagged patterns of spots.
