Nature's way

The Great Migration on the Serengeti brings hundreds of thousands of wildebeest, zebras and antelopes to the fresh grasses of the savanna. Old, sick and newborn animals fall prey to the carnivores that eagerly await the herds after the long lean dry season, and the savanna is littered with the remains, especially the head and horns. This is just one of the many wildebeest carcass at the Grumeti Game Reserve, Serengeti, Tanzania.

Nature is typically much better at recycling than humans. At least the carcasses aren't wasted.
