I noticed this intriguing 'shadow' on the brick facade of an old building near the harbour in Trinity, Newfoundland, an historic town that dates back to the 17th century. What a tale it might tell!
A little research has revealed to me that the current standing building (reconstructed) is a three story Georgian style brick house modeled after the original which was constructed around 1819-1821 called the Lester-Garland site, part of the various mercantile firms which operated on the Trinity waterfront from the early 1700s to the early 1900s. Within and under the ruins of this reconstructed house are the foundations of the Lester house and possibly earlier remains. An old photo shows the original portions of the 1819 brick walls that were incorporated into the reconstructed house. http://www.trinityhistoricalsociety.com/lestergarland_house.htm
