Caribou with one antler
A one antlered caribou with a nice mouthful of grass. This animal was feeding in the snow by using its hooves to paw down to the dried grasses. Male caribou shed their antlers in November and December, but females can also have antlers and they shed them later in the year, sometimes as later as June, after calving. This animal likely shed her antler naturally and I caught her before the other one came off.
