Mossy path
Thick moss carpets the forest floor and a wooden bridge across a small creek at Saiho-ji (moss temple, Kokedera), Kyoto, Japan. There are an estimated 120 species of mosses at the temple and its gardens have been an important influence on Japanese garden design.

on November 8, 2016Coming from a dry climate, I had never seen moss actually blanketing the ground, until I saw it in a forest in Oregon. It had this same look, which I find very appealing, beckoning me to follow that path.
