Falling leaves
Fallen leaves cover the ground, the roof tops, and the torii gates near the top of Inari Mountain. Especially In the fall the Fushimi Inari Taisha Shinto shrine, with its thousands of torii gates leading up to the top of Inari Mountain, and its colourful maple trees, is a popular destination for the Japanese. People of all ages make the long climb up the mountain to the shrines at the top. I consider myself to be in pretty good shape for my age, but it was humbling to be continually passed by even older Japanese pilgrims.
