I haven't had time to give much thought to the alphabet challenge since I've been travelling with dicey internet access, but it occurred to me that these old grave makers could look like the letter 'I'. (Also, not sure if we were going through the alphabet from A to Z or if we just get to all the letters in random order??)
The Quesnel Forks Cemetery dates back to 1859 when the town of Quesnel Forks was established at the junction of the Quesnel and Cariboo Rivers to support the Cariboo Gold Rush of 1860-1862. The town was finally abandoned in the 1950s. It was interesting to read the grave markers and see that people had died from accidents, mine collapses, falling rocks, small pox, and murder among other causes.
