• Too large to swallow! (best larger)

The Cocoi heron can be found all along the rivers of the Pantanal staking our their solitary territories. This one hd caught a catfish (Hypostomus plecostomus) that was too large for it to swallow, so we watched for some time as the heron tried to break down the fish and remove its spines so it could eat it. We left before finding out the result.
