Rainforest Trail boardwalk
The north temperate rain forests of the north Pacific coast are rich and dark and very biodiverse. They are pretty much inaccessible due to the dense growth, but in the Pacific Rim National Park boardwalks have been built to provide access to this unique ecosystem. This is on a loop called Rainforest Trail B.
Re God's Child's comment; this ecosystem is used in the movie industry for movies involving man versus the untamed wilderness, and it would certainly be scary to be lost in these large tracts of dense roadless and pathless forests that are home to bears, wolves and wildcats.
